Tinkerbell's dust

Tonight I accidentally dropped my brush full of Tinkerbell dust. The whole house sparkled for hours. You could even see it floating in the air....

 

What's new?

Here's what's new with our development/words:

Kayla:

I'm just smart as a whip, not that that is new! I say things all the time that amaze mommy I know and understand.

I love to sleep in the couch, especially at Granddaddy's. I even ask to do so at home!

Evan:

I love the show "Cat in the Hat." I call it "go go" and do a little dance when I want to watch it. When the Cat gets in his "plane," and the song "go go go on an adventure. the thing-a-magig is about to begin..." starts, I dance to it every time. It's my favorite part!!

New words? Bubble, plane, open (sounds like apple), cookie, cereal, jeep

I say "Where go?" and hold my hands up, to the side.

I shake my finger and "scold" you by grunting and wagging my finger.

Bye bye paci

So mommy had an event last Wednesday and my paci was in her car. Daddy couldn't find another paci, so he tried putting me to bed without it. I went straight to sleep, no problem. The next morning, mommy and daddy decided to see what would happen if they kept my paci "missing." Well, I've been perfect. I haven't acted like I have wanted it once! I am happy as a lark without it. Yea!! Mommy can't believe how easy that was....and how much of a big boy this means I am... Yep, I'm growing up!

Hat...

So mommy was getting rid of some things we have outgrown and we did not want to give up this hat:

 

Yes, I shouldn't touch this. I'm good at finding what I shouldn't get into and diving right in:

Swimming at Grandma's

We went swimming yesterday and today at Grandma's!!! We love to swim!!

And we learned Evan has no fear in the water. He wants to go in deeper and deeper.... We are going to have to keep a real close eye on him this summer.

Potty Training

Sooooo, mommy wasn't planning on potty training me yet, but here's what I do when Kayla goes potty (or perhaps, anyone goes potty):

 



 

I don't exactly go potty, but I have the "motions" down pat! :)

Gymnastics

Letter

Today I got my acceptance letter from St. Edward's!!! I am going to PreK there in the fall! I am so excited and ask mommy all the time when I get to go to my new school!

Mommy and daddy also got our driveway permit today for our new house!! What a great day!

Granddaddy started "walking" his fingers on the table and "getting" Meermaw's arm. I would copy him and laugh and laugh:

While we were all playing inside, Uncle Bubba and daddy were digging a trench for Granddaddy. I decided to go check out their progress. I think it's almost deep enough....

1st Gymnastics Class!!

Today was my very first gymnastics class and I loved it!! I had so much fun!! I ran right in and didn't look back:

Jumping on the mats on the way to our first exercise:

 

They set up a little obstacle course for us. First was a cart wheel. I needed some help, and need to practice that a bit!

Next, sommer saults:

Jump in the hole:

Finally, bounce on the spring board to the mat:

Next? Balance beams! They set up four beams and the first is close to the ground, walking forward:

The second was a little higher up and we had to walk sideways:

The third was on the ground and we did a bear crawl:

And the last one was also right on the ground, and we had to walk backwards!

After beams, we went to the uneven bars:

I had to grab on and lift my legs up to touch the bar:

We ended with free time on the trampolines and jumping in the pit. Then before I left, I got a stamp on my hand.
