Heart appointment and bike ride

Evan had his yearly heart appointment today. After his Echo and EKG, the doctor determined the hole in Evan's heart is leaking. The hole is next to the mis-shaped valve. The hole is sucking the valve in, causing it to not be able to heal/close on its own. Now that the hole is causing problems (the leak), the doctor discussed surgery to repair the hole. At this time, the plan is to have another Echo and EKG in the Spring, followed by an Endoscope (to view the heart from the inside). Evan's scans will be looked at by all of the pediatric cardiologists in the Vanderbilt practice group and a decision will be made if he has to have surgery. If they decide to do surgery, he will have open heart surgery over the summer.

Grandma and Grandpa 50th Anniversary

We sent Grandma and Grandpa to a bed and breakfast at Fall Creek Falls for their 50th Anniversary on the 17th. When they returned, we all had dinner at Outback.

Bullet

The puppy, now known as Bullet, was found on our street by our neighbors. Ms Elizabeth, at mommy's work, decided to adopt her. The kids enjoyed her for the few hours we babysat her.
