So sleepy

Swimming at Providence

Today we got to go swimming with Grandma, Aunt Kara, Zane, Annabeth, Lincoln and Fletcher. We had a blast!

Mommy put a hat, shoes and my life jacket on (never thinking I would keep the hat and shoes on for any length of time).  I insisted on also wearing the floatie. I was not going to drown, slip or burn today!

I had so many life preservers on, that I just floated around the baby pool. Nothing touched the ground and I was perfectly content. This is what I did the whole time:

Boots the kitten

Did you really think mommy was going to give away ALL of the kittens and not keep one for us? We did have 8 kittens....I have to keep one, right? And I am doing so well each time we give a kitten away!!! It wasn't hard at all to talk mommy into keeping one. Especially when she saw boots. Meet Boots!

Kayla asked to sleep with him tonight. We'll see how it goes....

I think he likes daddy too...

State Park Tour - 2nd stop

Mommy had 4 stops planned for today, but when we fell asleep in the car and saw how late the day was getting, we decided to skip Cordell Hull State Park (it's way up by the KY border) and head straight to Standing Stone State Park. It was small, but we had a great time anyway! There is a small swinging bridge that goes over a creek/river area. We crossed the bridge:

Then walked up to the top (by ourselves, with no help. I don't need help, mom!):

And then walked across a bridge you can also drive across. It's a dam with the lake on the other side. (when Evan saw the water, he said "ooooohhhhh, water" with his little lips puckered. Very cute!)

But the best part, and where we spent most of our time, was the playground:

Well, we stayed too long here and it's already 5:00 (with a two hour drive ahead), so we are going to skip our last stop too, Cummins Falls State Park. Maybe next time! We had a blast at the two parks we made it too!

State Park Tour - car ride

Fortunately the next stop is 2 hours away because we played toooo hard at the first stop and need a little shut eye....

State Park Tour

Finally! We've been trying to do another state park tour for a couple years! We decided to take a detour on the way home from Knoxville and tour parks north of I-40. First stop? Frozen Head State Park

This park was mainly walking trails, but it does have a beautiful creek with tons of picnic tables. We decided to walk along the creek and over the bridge, with a pit stop at the playground:

I love the climb the rocks, spread my arms, and yell "Ta-Da!!!"

Knoxville trip - Day 2

We had a great night at Elizabeth's and spent the next morning playing! It was a great time!!

They adopted the grey kitty (Penny):

Elizabeth's friend adopted Lucy. This whole time Elizabeth was going to take Lucy, we're really going to miss her. She was so sweet and cute....
